Today is Tuesday.
You know what that means.
We're gonna have a special guest!
I remember these used to play on Saturday mornings. Now schools all over America use them as wonderful learning tools. It's pretty cool hearing Alberquando (er...I mean EMT) walking around humming or singing these songs....just like I used to. ("used to" meaning back in the 70's AND all day today ).
I had a hard time choosing just one. you'll probably be subjected (no pun intended...ok, a little pun) to another one in one of the weeks to come.
So without further ado. School House Rock presents INTERJECTIONS!!
(Sometimes called Grammar Rock)
And AWAY we go.........

Darn! Thanks the end.
Loved that one.
Happy Snow Day - enjoy your kids at home ALL day. ;-)
Sisters can be so mean sometimes.....
Figure 8 as double 4
Figure 4 as half of 8
If you skate, you would be great,
If you could skate a figure 8
That's a circle that turns round upon itself....
CJ learned her times tables with Multiplication Rock. I know Grammar Rock helped me to be the writer that I am today (golly, Lolly, what is that saying?!).
I have the background book on how the spots were made and the advertising geniuses behind them (they truly were ad guys). Absolutely inspired! I don't think anything (except for Veggietales, Ruff Ruffman and that new PBS kids science show that I still haven't seen) has done the same for kids in terms of creatively presenting educational material.
It wasn't just a fad.
Well every person you can know
And every place that you can go
And every thing that you can show
You know they're nouns...
I find it quite interesting
A noun's a person, place or thing
And, if you're ADHDMe,
you're a little of everything--and maybe even an interjection, too!
I loved those as a kid! Thanks for the Tuesday guest! Have a great snow day!
CK----Drat---No school. (actually it was fun to see the look on EMT's face after he was dressed and ready to go.
Sue J----Are you SURE you aren't in my head?
Mrs P--WOW! (interjection) Thanks.
Sue j- Conjunction Junction
What's your function....
Oh please do my favorite: Conjunction junction, what's your function. I love that one.
Oh is it snowing over there? :D
Conjuntion Junction I remember but not this one. I enjoyed this but somehow I doubt that those were the interjections that would be used at the football game.
Happy Snow Day!!
we got huge snow flakes for about 5 minutes and then pretty big pieces of sleet for a few hours.
So it looks like nothing until you try to walk on it.
Still...it's Virginia, so it's exciting.
Raining now.
Will all be gone tomorrow.
It was at least 8 minutes. :-)
By the way, oh thou who doth not checkest her email or phone messages...
family dinner Feb. 12 at 6 p.m.
Hookin' up words and phrases and clauses...
I used to own the T-shirt!
Out of the fryin' pan
and into the fire
We let go the sand bags
but the balloon wouldn't go any higher
Let's go up to the mountains
Or down to the sea
You should always say thank-you
Or at least please say pleeeeeeeez!
Interplanet Janet, she's a galaxy girl. A solar system whiz from a future world.....Only now, she's short a planet, so she's become obsolete. Sad.....
Can my kids go back to school now?
I'm just a bill.
Yes, I'm only a bill.
And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To the capital city.
It's a long, long wait
While I'm sitting in committee,
But I know I'll be a law some day
At least I hope and pray that I will
But today I am still just a bill....
That and Conjunction-Junction, What's Your Function?
sigh...I feel old-ish
I must be old, I don't remember these! My mind must be further gone than I thought!
