Today Is Tuesday. You Know What That Means....

MyADHDMe

The original plan for this past weekend was that I was going to an EMS (yawn) seminar. I was excited to be getting away but thought I would be spending the days at lectures and looking at the newest EMS supplies etc.

After I arrived, I stopped by one of the local firehouses to say hi. (that's one of the cool things about being a firefighter....every firehouse is home). Anyway, they were just starting a major training weekend. THEY LET ME STAY AND PLAY!! They got some gear for me (after verifying my certifications) and I had a BLAST (excuse the pun).

Although I haven't posted about it yet, I have been pretty sure that I wasn't ever going to get to be in any more burning buildings. That has had me much more bummed out that I would have ever imagined. But that's another post for another day. This weekend was exactly what I needed.

I wasn't able to take pictures, so I found some older ones to use to show you what we were doing.

Oh, and I'm not even sore....no siree! not sore at all..... (well, that's just a little lie.....little lies are ok....right?.....after all, they don't hurt anyone........) Ahem, well, I'm done typing now. If I could stand up I'd get up and go in the other room. Hello....Could someone come help me get up? I seem to have stiffened up while sitting here. Hello?....Anyone there? Oh well....It was DEFINITELY worth it!

I was thinking that might have been you there up on the roof. Kinda glad it wasn't....even though I know you'd like to be up there doing that kind of thing.

I totally understand what you mean about it being "just what I needed." It's like the first day of school for the kids..... :-)

Fulfilling! Hope you recover OK.

My husband bought a farm that came complete with a very nasty old house and barn that needs demolishing, Its tempting to see if our local fire fighters would like to come and play with it.

Holy Buckets of Water...WAHAHAHAHA!!

There's a fine line between bravery and psychotic. Common sense says GET OUT. ADHD says JUMP IN!

Wow that looks exciting! I couldn't do it, but Wow that looks exciting! I'm so glad you had a good time. Just what the Great Physician ordered. :)

I'm picturing you doing the Snoopy Happy Dance, that is if you could dance. LOL.

LOL! You sound like me after each game of netball.

I hurt. I complain. I moan. But it's worth it!

I'm glad you had a good weekend, too. Just hope someone showed up to help you out of that chair, even though you aren't sore. *grin*

Regarding the boys wearing the same thing two days in a row - One morning last year while we were walking to the bus stop, Joshua smiled and said to me, "Do you know I have been wearing the same shirt all week?" (This must have been Thursday or Friday!) I had noticed he'd been wearing his coat an awful lot. I just figured he had been changing his shirt! Ugh!!!
