Recovering from The Event

There I was, standing in front of the largest inferno I had ever seen. The heat was so severe that every fiber of my body seemed to cringe and push me back out of the building. I knew I had no choice and that I had to continue forward. The smoke was thick and I finally understood about the old saying "thick as pea soup". For a moment my ADHD brain pictured a hot bowl of pea soup. Suddenly in my mental picture, the pea soup started to bubble and boil and pour out over the top to the soup pot. As the soup hit the stove burner I was quickly brought back to the reality of the flames whipping to my left and right. Because smoke and heat rise, I laid on the floor to try to catch a glimpse of the family that I knew what on the other side of that fiery wall.
All I could see was black smoke.......which, btw, had I ever made pea soup, I probably would have burned it and it would have been black also........
...........................
..........................
...........................

I finally re-entered the building to get the last person out. I had crawled up the stairs, every muscle in my body screaming with pain and fatigue. I was exhausted but I knew what I had to do. Just as I handed off the last victim to my partner at the window, the ceiling came crashing down. The timbers landed on me with excruciating pain, yet I rolled out the window just in time as the entire building came crashing down.

The EMTs and Paramedics stabilized me and got me to the hospital. The doctors said I would be fine but might have severe back pain for a while.

Oh wait.......I'm sorry. This is a true blog.......This isn't fantasy or make believe......

"The roller coaster slowly went up the tall steep hill. As it went over the top and went speeding down the hills and whipping around sharp corners, I screamed in delight. Yet there was this nagging feeling in the back of my mind (not to mention, also in the back of my front) that I should have paid more attention to the sign at the entrance . It read, "People with back problems should not ride this ride." They weren't kidding....

HOWEVER, the roller coaster WAS called The Volcano, and there WAS fire.

Thanks everyone for all of your prayers. My back, although sore, is doing much better and is almost back (back, haha) back to normal.......which is "ouch"....... not "OOUUCCCHHHHHH!!!!"

I've not sure what I just read. It's in the back of the front of my mind that there's no one else like you. Glad you are feeling better!!

My back does fine with Roller Coasters...it's my tummy that seems to have the problem.

You little trickster you! I was on the edge of my seat.

I'm glad you're back even if you're not completely normal. (hehe. just kidding)

I used to love roller coasters. Now they make me queezy. Even park swings make me queezy these days. :)

Glad you're feeling better!

Liar, liar, pants on FIRE! hahahaha! At least you 'fessed up at the end. I'm not a fan of rollar coasters at all. Or swings. The Merry-Go-Round is more my speed.

Oh, you bad girl! You totally HAD me!!!
What an exciting adventure, er, imagination. *grin*
I was at an amusement park Friday - just a little bruise on my back, fortunately. I did find a great ride that was better than a roller coaster, because it swings high and fast, but is completely smooth.

Hope your recovery continues quickly!
