Today Is Tuesday. You know what that means.

Today Is Tuesday.
You Know What That means.
We're Gonna Have A Special Guest!!

Chatty Kelly heard this on the radio the other day and asked me to play it for her. No problem as this is an awesome song. Spinning Wheel----Whirling Dervish------Of course I like it. The only problem is.....well, be sure to notice the guy at around 18 seconds into the clip. He's doing a good job, but face it, We Need More Cowbell!!!

Those trumpets are incredible too.

(there is a better version of the song but I looked for almost an hour...well spent time (note: NOT "good" spent time).....trying to find a video of it. All I could find was the long version without the video, so I went with this one anyway)

Have a great day!

Is there anything NOT to love about this song! Horn section, guy in a white suit, mullets, I mean woo hoo - it's the 70's! Yeah baby!

But I do have one problem with the song. IT NEEDS MORE COWBELL!!!!!

Man, always a favorite, since I was...this small.....

I remember not knowing the bridge lyric: "Did you find a ??? WHAT?" In this version, David Clayton Thomas sings 'directing' like any one of us would. But, in the studio recording, he sings 'di-AIR-ECK-ting' sign. It wasn't until I found the song in piano sheet music that I learned the truth. ('scuse me, while I kiss this guy...")

I also got Blood, Sweat and Tears mixed up with Chicago. In fact, I think I have a single somewhere--from Time, Life or somebody--with BST's Spinning Wheel on one side and Chicago's Does Anybody Really Know What Time it is? on the other. Now THAT's a brass tour-de-force.

The wack-a, wack-a guitar sound.

The Styx hairdo on the guitar player, way before the 80s.

Awesome brass!

Definitely, more cowbell. Definitely.

Talk about an anachronism. A white polyester leisure suit, a mullet hair cut, Red bell-bottoms, sneakers, and psychedelic visual effects, with a bunch of old dudes preening like spring roosters. Painful to look at but irresistible to listen to.
Where ya been? I missed you.

I haven't heard that in ages. Kelly heard it the other day? Love the trumpets!

I vote that we all take a field trip together to a concert like this. WHat a HOOT that would be. We'd probably get arrested for having too much fun.
MORE COWBELL!!!

I agree with Beverlydru about the field trip...but only if we can see the Eagles and maybe even the Beach Boys. And Clapton would make it just a little slice of heaven. sigh... Is his hairline really receding that much? What are my old age tells, I wonder....hmm...

That was on the first album I ever owned. But I have to agree something is missing. We need more cowbell. I got a feaver, and you know that the only perscription for it is....

I'm in for the field trip.

I'll paste on some sideburns.

Good one, though it is Wednesday- I missed Tuesday altogether- not well, I mean, not good.
