Today Is Tuesday. You Know What That Means

Today is Tuesday (AGAIN!).
You know what that means.
We're gonna have a Special Guest!

So put on your ears.
Like good Mouseketeers.
Cause Tuesday is Guest Star Day!!!

I was going to do something about voting today. But you all know who you are supposed to vote for so I won't be redundant.

Feeling in a funk anyway. THEN, this morning I went over to Chatty Kelly's blog and found the perfect Guest Star. I'm not using the same artist as she did (you know I have my favorites) but when I listen to this song the way she pointed it out, well, it sure does put the right perspective on things. After all, when I'm weary, feeling small etc, HE is ALWAYS there for me.

By the way, have you read Kelly's Monday Musings? I absolutely LOVE them. All those fun songs we used to listen to, then she puts them in a whole new perspective. Go see for yourself!
I have tried THREE times to link to her but can't get it to work. Must be computer problems.....what's that you say? USER problems? Well, maybe.

SO, although Jesus isn't my Guest Star ( because He is our Guest Star Everyday). These guys are knocking at my door right now. They are ready to do their thing. Why? you ask. You know why.

I refuse to click on the video, because I know it will loop incessantly through my head. It may anyway.

Always liked Simon & Garfunkel's version of this song.

If you think about it, it just makes sense. I mean who else actually did "lay me down" but Jesus. And He is the one who can truly comfort us, take our part in darkness, etc. The lyrics are perfect.

When pain is all around, like a bridge over troubled water, Jesus will ease our mind. :-)

www.chattykelly.com is the link if people are looking for it.

I don't know why I couldn't get it to link. You showed me how to fix it but I can't get it to do it right. On the other hand, the entire blog link...not to anything...but never-the-less, it links.

I caught the link on chatty Kelly's earlier, when I saw you were going to have the same song I expected it to be some jazzed up version. you cant beat Simon and Garfunkel

Without the benefit of MTV, I wasn't sure who was singing this song. I knew it wasn't Paul Simon. But I guess I always thought of Art Garfunkel as a silent partner (instrumentalist). I couldn't read well enough back then, either!

It's a vocal performance that has seen its imitations (Clay Aiken, among others) but will never be outdone. "Master class," as Simon Cowell would say.

And, yes, I'm a huge fan of "Musical Mondays" since before it was such a thing :-)

I really enjoyed that.

You two are a wonderfully paired musical team. :D
