That was so cool, and the girls enjoyed it too.

Now I'm the one behind in responding to emails, but I have read them. :)

I was 7. We were at my grandmother's, and I remember standing on the steps of her little apartment with my dad, looking at the moon, and saying "I don't see anybody." He gotta kinda aggravated/embarrassed that I thought I would be able to see them. I didn't think I would see people, but I thought I might see little dots moving across the moon! Ah, the perspective of childhood!

I was hoping you would pick these guys!

We watched a bunch of shows on History HD last night, and some other channels. It is impossible to explain to kids how incredible this event was. Since the explosion of the sci-fi movie genre, they think "Star Wars" is an everyday happening.

All of the work involved in the planning. What are these guys going to wear so they don't burn up? How will they use the bathroom, etc., etc. Not to mention having enough power just to get up there. All of this needed to be figured out--and with little or no facts. They hadn't been there yet!!!

Anyhow, what looks like something someone could have cooked up in their basement (and I understand there are conspiracy theorists out there who have done just that) was one of the most miraculous events of our lifetime. Just amazing!

I think Greg C needs to see this to help him with his disbelief...

HA! I wasn't even born yet, but I've heard of this moment in history. *grin*
What a cool guest to have.
How do you get all these amazing people to agree to be guests on your blog?
Well, I know everyone likes you, (Really likes you!) but you must have some incredible connections! LOL

I was watching the history channel special on this landing, and did you know that Walter Cronkite did not catch the first part of the famous phrase about one small step? The TV crew had to tell him what they said.

I see the moon and the moon sees me.

God bless the moon and God bless me.
