A Daybook Entry.......Or Something Like That....Just Not Today

I have seen The Simple Woman's Daybook at various places, such as Bonita's and Sue J's blogs....among other places. I believe it is originally from Peggy.

Anyway, (I'll get back to that in a moment...if I remember to). This year we bought season passes to Kings Dominion (Amusement Park). My sister ET did too. It was probably one of the best investments we've made in a long time. I doubt there is anywhere we could go for even one weekend that would have cost less and we have made it a point to go once or twice a week.

I probably have as much fun as the kids. I love roller coasters and probably all of the rides, as long as they don't spin. I can go speeding along at 80 mph on a roller coaster, but put me on a carousel and after 3 or 4 rotations I really feel pretty ill.

Unfortunately, roller coasters and degenerative disks in your back just don't go well together.

I am not very good at just sitting. I usually need to be doing something. (however, I have learned to occasionally Shut Up And Listen).

Now when we go to Kings Dominion, I take my "Goodie Bag".

It is a back pack with a book, a notebook, a puzzle book, and a camera . I still get the exercise of walking all over the park with the kids, but when they ride the rides, i sit down (with the other little old ladies) and either read, write, or take pictures.

One of the things I did, was copy out The Simple Woman's Daybook and took that with me to do there. I thought it would put a different perspective on things, since they are usually done from ones home. I was going to type it our here, however, it has taken an entire post for me to type out what I was going to do...SO, my NEXT post will be The Simple Woman's Daybook from Kings Dominion....you know, I'm not sure how I feel about calling myself simple. I'm very sure I have been called many things, but Simple isn't one of them. I liked it when Linda at 2nd Cup of Coffee called me A Whirling Dervish.

Maybe I'll just call it Today, Here and Now, or My Daybook. Then again, if I do that but take it completely from The Simple Woman's Daybook, it may look like I'm trying to commit perjury .... wait ...not perjury, I mean plagiarism. Hhhmmm... maybe I SHOULD call it The Simple Woman's Daybook. I DON'T KNOW!! Perhaps I'll call it Post #267

Nope, after checking the Thesaurus, and choosing the Synonyms that I wanted (there were some in there that weren't quite as nice), I found that Simple can also mean:
Clear
Understandable
Easy
Intelligible
Lucid
Uncomplicated
Opposite of MyADHDMe

(Ok, I added the last one)

SO, My next post will be some kind of Daybook. On the other hand, I may forget all about this and write about something completely different...... whew..............

Personally, I like "itelligible" because it sounds like "intelligent." Make it the Intelligible Woman's Day book! *grin*

What were we talking about?

I love the picture on the bench. I picture you sitting there next to her. LOL!

I keep waiting for the elusive Daybook post to appear your blog. If I'd known it required this much prep I'd never have taken it on myself. Heavens girl, just post the daybook entry will you??!! ha ha

I agree with Linda, you are a Whirling Dervish. I heard of them for the first time about a month ago and this is the second reference to them. That is spooky.

I had a great time at K.D. with you this year. They are putting up a new roller coaster that will open 2010 called the Intimidator--supposedly has an incline of 350 feet and nothing is like it on the east coast.

You may have added that last one but I was already thinking it!!!

Can't wait to see your "whatever" book entries...if you ever get around to naming it, which knowing you could take several more posts yet...So...in the interests of personal safety I won't hold my breath! Not that I don't have faith in you, I do, I just think that, maybe, sometimes you take a little while to get to the point...

Just reading your new title for a Daybook, whatever it is, will be a fun enough post!
