Noselphonitis

My poor, poor Alberquando, (yes, I know I was going to stop using that as his name but it is the original name I chose for him for this blog and anything else just doesn't seem right). Some of you thought that was his real name. Even though I did have a difficult time choosing a name for him, I didn't name him Alberquando. To see how I ended up using the name Alberquando, you can click here. I'm sure every one of you that wasn't here from the early days of my blogging are clicking away at that link and that's good. I never knew how to link until I had been blogging for a while and it was a HUGE accomplishment for me. I even got an award!! Check it out. My Degree from the School of Linkology is on the right side of my blog. (thanks again Edie).

Monkey's are Funny.

My poor, poor Alberquando. He told me he has a very serious disease. It is called Noselphonitis. I had never heard of it and there are no google references. He told me that there is only one cure. Only one thing will make this awful condition go away. My poor, poor Alberquando. He is going to have to suffer through this condition. The only cure available just isn't going to happen. Well, the cure will be available to him one day I am sure. But not today. Not this week. Not this month. MAYBE in December, but that is a MAYBE!!

I'm sure many children must suffer from Noselphonitis, although Alberquando ASSURES me that he is the ONLY one that has it. The ONLY one at his ENTIRE school.

Poor little thing. I think he'll survive.

Are you wondering what the cure is?

I'll sound out the diagnosis for you and perhaps that will make it easier..

Noselphonitis = No Cell Phone Itis.

Poor Alberquando.

My niece had that for awhile, but she recently received treatment.

Strange how the recent crashing of my computer and replacement thereof led to CJ's case of laptopitis. Never mind the fact that her computer was more powerful than mine to begin with....oh, the agony, the throbbing pain....

And the cure for whinitis?

Honestly, when I read the word, I figured it might be a speech issue: nose/phonics. But the "itis" (inflammation) suffix did make that seem questionable. Thanks for the enlightenment!

I thought he was going to be "nosey." Of course if I had actually read the word, I could have "sounded it out" and figured it out. But I just skipped right over it. Like all the names in Left Behind. ;-)

Oh..that disease is rampant in our house, but has begun to clear up a little. The cure is that you have to be able to generate enough income on your own to possess the phone...older 2 sons are good...younger son and daughter...at ages 12 and 14 think they are WAY TOO OLD to be dealing with this sickness....

After the "minor mishaps" my 17 year old had while driving, we did get him one. But I consider that for safety and not to mention, peace of mind for me.

Alberquando is 12. He is always either at school, with me, or with someone that has a phone. If he needs to text that badly, he should write a letter and mail it.

He's lucky he doesn't also have tv-itis, computer-itis and/or video game-itis. lol

my kids too went through this horrible disease and are recovering--but be aware--when curing this-it causes secondary diseases such as:

morechoresitis

noallowanceitis
which I was the carrier for so they got this from me--but this one they got on their own:

tabletextitis

which is the most annoying disease of them all because it can effect everyone who is in the general area. But, I have no medical degree and I can still cure them of the last one--so have hope!!

CK- could we be thinking of Tsion and Chaim Rosenzweig?? lol

Sue- Still looking for the cure for Whinitis. If I find that one I would make millions!! Perhaps it is a closed bedroom door (either the child's OR the mom's and a couple of tylenol)

More choreitis!! What a GREAT idea!!

Mine already suffer from Noallowance itis.

Tabletextitis? Is that when your thumbs turn brown and fall off due to continual texting??

To whom it may concern...ever notice how a person can get SO many comments when they continually comment on their own blog. I mean, I would never do that, but it was just something I was thinking about.

That's so funny because I kept reading the "s" as a "z," so I had no idea until you explained! Poor Alberquando, indeed. Be advised: once they get one, there's no turning back.

Well, I'm glad you left me a comment today anyway. *sigh* Why don't this games ever work for me? It's worse than Tuesday Tips.

He has quite the imagination doesn't he? LOL! I did figure it out before I got to the end but it was a bit of a struggle. We don't have that one over here. It was prevented with a $2 plastic Cinderella cell phone.

BUT... If you find the cure for whinitis I will pay millions for that one!! I don't know whose millions, or millions of what, but I'll make it happen!

Oh btw, I just came from CK's blog. Did you see all the comments she got on her Pay it Forward post!? There's a bazillion of them. Ok maybe slight exageration. Wow there must be a lot of people interested in doing that Pay it Forward. Maybe she can send some of them your way cause you participated in mine and hers. LOL! You know you might have to make, as in hand craft, six somethings for six different people? You better get ta craftin girl. :)

CK it's not as bad as Tuesday Tips! You got three people today!! You only got one on Tuesday Tips. And not til the last hour too! LOL.

My 15 and 13 year old have the same problem. It seems to be even worse in girls. I'm a nurse and have no sympathy for them.

For Christmas, I bought my 12-year old a $15 track phone from the store, put $20 on it, and told him he had to refill it with his allowance money...(I give allowance money so I have something to take away later)...

He was soooooooooo excited because now he wasn't the ONLY 7th grader without a cell phone now (only 60 more 7th graders didn't have phones you know!) "Yeah," he said...

uh huh...know where that phone is??? And want to know the balance on it??? Yep...0000000000000 balance...know why???

No, not because he could text his friends.

No, not because he wanted to spend hours on his new, cool cell phone to brag that he's NOW NOT the only 7th grader who doesn't have a phone.

No, not even so he could download a cool ringtone.

He downloaded 3-4 games from the internet to his phone so he can play when he's bored!

So, now that he has a cell phone that is so cool because he's not the ONLY 7th grader without a phone, he can only look at it, play a game, and pray no other really cool 7th grader asks for his cell phone number, because he wouldn't be able to answer it anyway.

(Can you see that I am trying to get the longest comment here???)

So anyway, his COOL cell phone sits in his COOL dresser with his COOL mp3 player below his COOL dart board, lying next to the COOL blue shirt he just had to had, so spent his allowance on, which by the way, he never wears because it was only COOL on the hanger on the rack in the store by the mall where all the COOL kids could see just how COOL it is...or was...or isn't...or doesn't...or wasn't...or couldn't...or shouldn't...or don't...or won't...

MONKEYS are funny...

Where was I??? Oh yes, here is what I wanted to say in the first place...

"Don't do it...Just don't do it."

Oh yes, the parents have to be cured from whinitis before the kids can:)

(I heard myself whining to God the other day, and thought, "Who do I sound like???" Yep, my kids...boy they sure can rub off on me sometimes:)

Alright, "Boy, I sure can rub off on them sometimes!"

I just wanted to leave another comment simply because it looked fun.

I WAS wondering what the inflammation of a noselphone was... I was curious if mine might be inflamed and I just didn't know it.

My 16 year old has recently cured herself out of her own pocket.

So Mr 14 decided he would do the same. But alas. Phone's don't take well to swimming...so obviously at the tender age of 14 you aren't really responsible enough to cure your own noselphonitis.

Miss 16 is now suffering from a severe case of nolaptopitis. Debilitating, and she doesn't have the funds to cure it. She is pretty sure she's going to die.

My youngest has it too. It is so sad. However his older brother found out that there is a cure and that it is one of the few deseases that you can buy your way to a cure. As long as he keeps paying, the desease stays away.

My almost 12 year old grandson has a trac phone. Just incase he needs to phone home!

Bonita said...

Okay, so I really thought that was your son's name. It just sort of fit with the whole ADD theme and all.

Tell him that you're saving him a world of misery because if he had a cell phone he would likely have carpal tunnel syndrome before he was out of his teens from all that texting he would do. Being the compassionate, loving mother that you are, you're sparing him from such agonies...or something like that.
