Today is Tuesday, You Know What That Means...

I don't post many videos. Of course that could be because I had to call Chatty Kelly to find out how to post this one. Anyway, it's Tuesday and I think of this song at one point or another almost every Tuesday. I think most of you have heard it....many, many years ago. I used to watch this show on TV every afternoon that I could. Now, I WAS watching the reruns. I think the originals ran sometime starting in the early 1950's.

You Tube is SO cool. You can find ANYTHING.

SO.....sit back, relax and take a walk down memory lane......

I love that song too! I used to sing it all the time.

But who was our special guest? Inquiring minds want to know.

Great job embedding the video.

I hate to say this but I never watched that show. At least not enought to remember that song. It was about half way through before I figured out what it was. Now put on the Bozo show and I will sing along with that. :)Maybe that is why I tend to be a clown these days.

The girls and I had fun watching that but I have to admit that I only remember watching that show once or twice.

When I came to your blog, Emily was looking over my shoulder and saw your picture and said "What is that little girl holding?" LOL!

I used to watch this show! It came on right before my brother got off of the bus from school-so I must have been in preschool. Anyway then Gilligan's Island would come on and we'd watch that one together! How fun!

Do we really have a special guest? Is this a warm up for something really, really BIG!?

Actually, The Mickey Mouse Club WAS the special guest. Then, I thought maybe I would do something like a "Blast From the Past" every Tuesday.
Not sure. I thought EVERYONE would LOVE the Mickey Mouse club but maybe it was just Kelly and I.

Greg-I went to you tube to check out Bozo the Clown, thinking I would do something on him. OUCH!! He's scary and a little bit freaky too.

I used to watch Bozo the clown too. I bet he was freakyer than I realized when I was growing up.

Hobo Kelly was another favorite.

Hey did you catch what my grandaughter said about you? She called you a little girl. Does that not surprise you? Not that I think you look old or anything but honestly, when was the last time someone thought you were a little girl? :)

Oh yeah, I forgot to comment on that. Too Cool. if she thinks I look like a little girl, then Bless her! (achoo)

I never saw this show, but I knew all about Annette. Doesn't she look great here!? Wonderful World of Disney? Oh yes--every Sunday night!! Not this one, though.

Bozo...yes. We had the Bozo punching bag. Wanted to play the bucket game all the time.... Bozo and Wonderama, Romper Room....(sigh, the magic mirror).

And, Happy Days--Tuesday was always Happy Days!

A shop-vac? No--REALLY?!?
Pray tell, is he still howling at the moon from his cozy little doghouse?

Sue J-I Loved Happy Days!
Had a poster a Fonzie on my wall, (and John Travolta and Clark Gable).

A&OX4- Yep...a shop vac. We don't talk about that too much...ha

Edie- glad she looked at my picture and called me a little girl instead of reading my blog and THEN calling me a little girl! lol

I was thinking about Romper Room the other day. Trying to remember the words to the magic mirror.

Romper bomper stomper boo
Tell me mirror, tell me do
Magic mirror tell me today
Did all my friends have fun at play?

I watched wonderama too. I liked that one and really wanted to go on that show.

Does anybody here have an ardvark?
Does anybody here have an ardvark?
Everyone here has a right and left ear,
but nobody here has an ardvark.

I'm just now realizing how appropriate Emily's comment was. LOL.

ADHD, will you still be my friend if I tell you I didn't grow up watching that show? I'm sure I saw the Micky Mouse club sometimes...but not enough to be familiar with that song. Though I did tap my toes and enjoy it. *grin*
Now, Gilligan's Island and the Brady Bunch? Those songs I remember!

Thank you for your prayers! And I am glad you are praying for me...even if I had NO idea what the whole video was about...chalk it up to clueless, hair color, or possibly age...?!?!

I am amazed so few of you watched the Mickey Mouse club. Obviously you missed out on great television. On the other hand, the tv was probably my babysitter so MAYBE I saw a bit more than the rest of you. (note that Chatty Kelly recognized it too).

Edie- I had an ardvark but county restrictions made me get rid of it. A very nice family adopted it and he sends me a card every Christmas.

I cannot BEEELIEVE you brought up ROMPER ROOM! SIGH* Do you remember the cardboard cars they would run around the room in? (loved that)
And my Mom let me order those little plastic bucket things with the long strings and you stood on them holding the strings and would walk? It was a blast... Not as much fun as MARVEL THE MUSTANG.. but...! I regret not watching the Mickey Mouse club. I WAS FAITHFUL to CAPTAIN KANGAROO... Moose n Rabbit... and Mr. GreenJeans was the man!

I barely remember that song. It's been along time. I'm with Kelly, who was the special guest, I was so bummed when the door didn't open!!

The guests were always kids with talents such as dancing, piano playing, singing etc.

For THIS post though, the guest was The Mickey Mouse Club.
