What's Wrong With This Picture?

Actually, a good title for this post would be What's RIGHT With This Picture?

My friend and I prefer the summer MUCH more than the winter (Remember January or June??). So, we came up with a list of things that were good about the winter months to make the cold weather more bearable.

1. You can leave your drink in the car while you go in the store and it stays cold.(great for diet coke drinkers...not so great for coffee drinkers).

2. Kids go to school!!

3. Fireplaces.

4. Candles, especially scented ones always seem nicer in the winter......well, they do to me.....cranberry, spices, pumpkin pie, cedar, apple pie.....all great winter scents. yes, I know there are nice summer scents too....Honeysuckle, Gardenia, Chlorinated Pool Water...but now I've gotten off track......see what you did?......Please, No More Interruptions.....(thank you).

5. Kids are at SCHOOL!!

6. Snow.....Beautiful while it's coming down and it snows seldom enough in Virginia to make it exciting.....until they close the schools!!

7. Bundling up in blankets while having popcorn and watching movies on tv.

8. Winter clothes are normally more flattering.

9. The children go to school.

10. You can turn your porch light on and hundreds of bugs don't come in the house every time you open the door. That brings me back to my original question. What's wrong with this picture? This picture was taken last week, December 28th. I opened the door to go outside and there were bugs flying around the light. I believe the high temperature that day was somewhere around 78 degrees. That's unbelievable....well, actually it is believable because it's true and I wouldn't be telling you about it if it weren't true....plus I have pictures to back up the story.

ANYWAY, amazing. 2 nights ago, which was about a week later it is FREEZING outside. The low is supposed to be around 19 degrees.

Today when I woke up it was snowing (just a few flakes...but snowing never-the-less). Then it sleeted for a while. then the temp rose, the sun came out and it probably was 55-60 degrees.

Welcome To Virginia!!

Yeah, except for the migraines, I'll take summer over winter. But since we don't have much winter...!
Great list. Another one is that it's not near the race home from the grocery store with milk & meat & other cold stuff when it's 45 instead of 101.

It rarely, rarely snows here, but I posted a picture a few weeks back of snow at the state capitol building in Austin at midnight after the high that day had been 81!

Wow - look at you with all new bloggers commenting! Cool.

I love your "Top 10" list. Of course my favorites were #2, 5, & 9. LOL!

#1 - BAD!!! I don't like cold coffee, unless its a frappuchino.

Hey ADHD - if you haven't visited "FireMidget" yet, you should. She is your kind of gal (and firemidge I don't mean to be talking about you) but y'all are both women firefighters/EMT people.

Very cool. or is it hot?

Hmm... do I see a pattern for kids at school, kids at school? lol
I feel sorry for that moth... She needs a tiny WOOL coat. A red one, with a matching tassled hat and muff.

Loved this post! Very creative, funny woman. And I bet the porch light moment sparked all of this creativity!

Where is Edie? I haven't seen her all day today. EEEEEEE-dddddd! Where are you?

ADHD - Where are you? Are you with Edie? Are y'all together? Did y'all go off and not invite me? did you?

Okay, well, *sigh* - just saying hi.

Edie and I went to the book store. After browsing around she had a cup of coffee and I had a diet Pepsi. I wanted diet Coke but the only sell Pepsi products. I called and left you a message to meet us there. Didn't you get it?

Did someone call me? Oh Hi CK! I was wondering why you didn't meet us at the book store. :)

It's been a busy day and the girls are spending the night which made it a busy night.

The bugs hang out around my back door just waiting for Tobi to want in or out. Either will suit their purpose to swiftly fly into the house as Tobi takes her very sweet time slowly walking in or out. The really bad thing for me is that the gekos also hang out around the back door waiting to catch a bug and often try to scramble in when the door is opened. Sometimes they make it and sometimes... well... let's just say it's not a pretty sight.

You forgot to mention, kids go to school. Ours have been out for two weeks now and they are driving me crazy. I am a warm weather person so bring on the summer. You can have spring though, too much pollen.

I love Greg's comment. LOL!
