Today is Tuesday. You Know What That Means...

Today is Tuesday.
You know what that means.
We're gonna have a Special Guest!

So wiggle your ears.
Like good Mousekateers.
Cause Tuesday is Guest Star DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember the special guest I had who sang UNITED BREAKS GUITARS? His name is Dave Carroll and he has a Band called Sons Of Maxwell. He sang about his experience with United Airlines after baggage handlers broke his guitar, and United refused to accept responsibility for it.

ANYWAY, he has come out with the second song and THAT is today's Special Guest!

I'm going to post the clip from the first song (in case you missed it....because it REALLY is funny!) and then the 2nd one.

Oh, one more thing. the song caused a huge sensation when it first came out and was even featured on CBS, CNN and probably some other news stations. The title is United Breaks Guitars. I love the comment that someone wrote on the song on YouTube. They wrote, "Guitars Break United".

Have a great day!

P.S I think he has a crush on Ms Erwig.

I think he has a crush on Miss Erwig too. He still can't tough the 1st one, but the 2nd one is okay. The first one makes me laugh out loud, and I watched it more times that was probably normal. Way more.

:-)

Glad you liked the surprise I sent you. :-) I knew you would.

I rather like the 2nd video. Watching the "oom-pah" guys stream in and out, literally, is pretty funny. The song is very catchy, though not as radio-worthy as the first.

I think he needs to move on now, if he wants to have a real musical career. Or, maybe he's the next Ray Stevens.

And, CK, no fair dropping "the surprise" and not following up with what it was. That's an open hook with the bait swiped clean, and I'm feeling like a hurt fisherperson....

I loved the part where the others took a step back and left the two baggage handlers standing there alone. So typical. It reminded me of a scene from the movie Stripes.

What I'm wondering is why United won't just pay him for the guitar? Maybe they like the publicity they're getting? Whatever. Some over-paid CEO probably made that decision.
At least he's having fun with a crummy situation. *grin*

Ok this is an historical event. This is the first time since 1965 that I listened to a C/W tune that wasn't done by either Marshall Tucker, or Charlie Daniels (The ballad of UN-EASY RIDER is my favorite). I'd like to add, Taylor Guitars ain't cheep.
Country western music stinks, punk rock is dead. Give me good old Rock and roll. Or I'm just going to bed...

I enjoyed the 2nd one, fewer laughs than the first, but still very good. But I can't help wondering how long will poor Dave be tormented by this fiasco and will United EVER just front the cash and get the guy a new strummer? I wonder.

I liked the first one better too but this was still good. I did LOL at the canoe floating up and down the stream in the background.

He may end up defeating his purpose if he does another one.
