Today Is Tuesday. You Know What That Means

Today is Tuesday.
You know what that means.
We're gonna have a Special Guest.

Hhmm. Who should be today's special guest.
March 9th.
What incredible historical events have happened on March 9th of years past.
Hhhmmm.
Let me think.

March 9th...

In1796 Napoleon Bonaparte married Josephine Beauharnaia
In 1882 Charles Graham of NY patented Artificial teeth.
In 1916 Germany declared war on Portugal (WW1).
In 1945 334 US B-29 sper fortresses attacked Tokyo with 120,000 Fire Bombs. (WW2).
1n 1957 an 8.1 earthquake shook Andreanoc Islands, Alaska.
In 1959 Mattel's BARBIE debuted. (Over 800 Million Sold).

In Memphis TN, March 9 is the start of the annual 5 day Cotton Carnival!!

BUT, on March 9, 19bladiblah, another historical event occurred. An adorable little girl was born. Our Friend...My Sister....Happy Birthday Chatty Kelly!!!!!

That's a picture of us. A cute picture if you pretend we aren't wearing Little House on the Prairie outfits. That's our older brother, (Little House on the Prairie meets Disco Fever!). Our youngest sister was still just a twinkle in my dad's eye.

Today, in honor of my Special Guest...Chatty Kelly, my OTHER special guest will be a song from her teenage years that was and still is one her of favorites. I love this song too. However, this is the first time I ever saw the video. It's kind of like those Little House on the Prairie outfits we're wearing. You know,
cute kids....awful outfits.
Great song....Not so great video, (I think we may have found Boy George's Twin Brother!)

This is such a fun song. I'm going to be singing it all day.

I'll sing it all day, baby, all day, like a record baby, all day, all day.

opps.
Monkeys Are Funny

So, get out your "Frankie Says Relax" t-shirts, add a few more gallons of hairspray to your already 2 foot high hairdo, throw on some plastic bling (bigger, Bigger, BIGGER), cut a few holes in your shirt and make sure it hangs off of your shoulder and don't forget to stonewash those bluejeans because it's 1984 and this is Dead or Alive singing You Spin Me Round ........
Cause Tuesday is Guest Star DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Kelly!!!!!!!!!

Yep. Thanks to facebook and being accepted by CK there, I knew it was her birthday and wished her well on her wall. Technology. What will they think of next?

This video clip scared me a little bit.

Have a great week funny monkey!

WAHOO! CK and I actually saw each other today, and neither of us had visited your blog yet. We were hoping it would have something to do with CK and her birthday....

Won't she be surprised!?!!

He does lack the necessary pinkiliciousness that would make for a Kelly fave, but....

I hated that hate. The little house hat. The first one (beanie) I don't remember. But hated that little house hat. ugh!

But I LOVE LOVE LOVE that song! Woo! But the guy is totally freaky. And what is with the eye patch?!? I mean really? Eye patch as a fashion accessory... who knew? Maybe I could sport a pink one. Nah.

THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT BIRTHDAY POST, and the gifts. They will be making an appearance on Thankful Thursday. Woo!

And who knew Barbie & me shared a birthday. And false teeth were invited. What trivia!

Happy Birthday to Kelly! But wow..hard to believe that song was one of her favorites. My daughter was scandalized when the new cover of it came out and I knew the words. "MOM! Do you KNOW how dirty that song is?!?" Ah....15. To be able to sit in such pure judgement....

And you know, of course, that Mattel later issued a Barbie doll named Kelly in 1995.... (OK, so she was 4, but she was still a Barbie.)

Wow. That's a lot of hair!
I think next time I'd like to see a video of CK grooving to that song. *grin*
